International students

You must have a valid student visa to study in Australia.

It is a requirement of your student visa that you have current Overseas Health Cover (OSHC) for the entire time you are in Australia.

Check that you can login to our Student Portal where you'll find valuable information about your course.

You must find accommodation for yourself before you arrive in Australia. The University cannot do this for you.

As soon as you decide to study in Australia, we recommend you prepare a folder of official documents (and official English translations of these documents) to bring with you.

You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements to Australia, and to the city where your campus is located.

Charles Sturt University has study locations across New South Wales, the ACT and Victoria, so you can live and learn wherever suits you best.

Our English Language Advisers can help you to develop your English language skills for academic purposes.

Our International Student Liaison Officers can provide information on various services and facilities.

Your rights and responsibilities as an international student are governed by the Educational Services for Overseas Students Act (ESOS).

At the end of each session your progress will be reviewed when grades are released. If you have not passed at least 50% of your subjects, you will be considered to be 'at risk' for that session.
