Graduations 2020

We're celebrating our graduates of 2020! While we aren't holding graduation ceremonies at the moment, thousands of Charles Sturt students are still finishing their degrees.

As soon as we can confirm the rescheduling of ceremonies in 2021, we will invite our graduates from 2020 to attend a future ceremony.

A message from the Acting Vice-Chancellor

Though your celebration isn't traditional, it is still joyous and remarkable!

You should be proud of what you have achieved.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor John Germov sends a message to remind you of this.

Enjoy your graduation day, celebrate safely with your loved ones, and take the Charles Sturt University Charge as you step into the world as a member of our alumni community.

Celebrate from home

  • Your graduation program

As you would normally receive a graduation program at your graduation ceremony, we've made one you can download now. It contains well wishes from the Charles Sturt community and the names of your fellow graduates.

The below programs were published for all graduates between September to December 2020.

    Download your program

    Buy a printed copy

You can choose to order a printed copy. If you choose to attend a ceremony later you will also be given a printed copy at the ceremony. The programs are printed by Faculty. Be sure to check if your name is in the correct program before purchasing a copy.

  • Photography sitting on campus – now closed until 2021

We were very lucky to have GFP photography sessions on our Wagga and Bathurst campuses over the week of 15 – 18 December. Due to limited availability, these sessions were available to students who graduated throughout 2020, up until 4 December.

For our graduates who couldn't attend these sessions, or students who are graduating on 23 December, we will have further photography sessions available in 2021. Photography will be available at all of our rescheduled graduation ceremonies and sittings.

  • Memorabilia for our 2020 graduates

Charlies Store and Charles Sturt Winery have created special Graduation Packs for our 2020 Graduates who are celebrating from home.

Or you can create your own packs of Charles Sturt merchandise including our graduation bears (with matching faculty hood), pens, socks, cups and hoodies.

  • Hire or purchase your graduation cap, gown and hood

All graduates who attend a ceremony are provided with academic regalia on the day of their ceremony. There is no need to specially purchase or hire your academic regalia unless it’s for your own use outside of your graduation ceremony.

Purchase or hire your graduation cap, gown and hood (also known as your regalia), so that you can celebrate with all the gear!

Information for graduating students

  • How do I get my graduation certificate?

Your graduation certificate is called a testamur. Once your award has been conferred (this means you have officially graduated), we will post your testamur to you in the mail.

We will post to the mailing address on your student record as at 13 November 2020.

    Check contact details

  • Can I access digital versions of my graduation documents?

Within the week of your final grades being published, we will release a completed transcript via My eQuals. You can use this for employment or further study.

Next, once your award has been conferred, you'll receive digital copies of your testamur and AHEGS through My eQuals in addition to your printed testamur being posted to you.

  • Can I still graduate if I have a late grade in my last session due to the impacts of COVID-19?

In case your session 2 grades are late as a result of COVID-19 (say, if you have to complete practicals and workplace learning at a later date), there will be a second submission for conferral in December. Monthly conferrals will then commence from January 2021 so that any impact as a result of COVID-19 does not delay your graduation.

Please see all upcoming conferral dates (these are official graduation dates). Click on "I won't be attending".
